SANDRA RUMOLINO
Sandra and the Opera Maria of Buenos Aires:
From 2002 to 2019, Sandra performed the title role in "Maria de Buenos Aires," a tango opera by Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer, with the National Orchestra of Flanders at the Taipei Opera House (Taiwan), the Théâtre de l'Arsenal in Metz, and the opera houses of Avignon and Ghent (Belgium) under the direction of Rudolf Werthen, with bandoneon accompaniment by Maestro JJ Mosalini. She reprised this role in a production directed by Alfredo Arias with the Orchestre de Basse-Normandie, conducted by Dominique Débart, at the Grand Théâtre de Caen, the Opéra de Tours, and Le Volcan in Le Havre. Then at the Toulon Opera House with choreographer Eric Mengouet, W. Sabatier on bandoneon, singer JL Barreto, and actor-dancer J. Rodriguez, and in Croatia with soloists from the Zagreb Orchestra under the musical direction of Miran Voupotic. In Poland with the Warsaw Opera Orchestra, several times in Szczecin under the direction of guitarist Krzysztof Meisinger, and at the St. Ceré Festival in 2019 under the direction of Gaspard Brécourt with W. Sabatier and singer Diego Flores.
Resuming in February 2024, tour in Poland.
